Muslim Beliefs

Muslims believe in one God, Allah, who is the creator of the universe. Their main belief is that, "There is no god, but Allah, and Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah." They have six articles of faith: God, angels, scriptures, prophets, ressurection, and divine creed. There are also five pillars of Muslim faith, which are: the testimony of faith, prayer, almsgiving (donation), fasting during Ramadan, and the pilgrimage to Mecca. The testimony of faith consists of rejecting false gods, accept Allah as the sole creator of everything, and accept Muhammad as Allah's last messenger. The prayer, or salat, means to pray five times a day facing Mecca and recite verses from the Qur'an.
